For those of you getting
a weak or distorted transmission try these:
1. Make sure both
radios are turned powered on with more then half
battery power.
2. Make sure you are
not obstructed by other objects.
3. The mic may not be
sitting properly on the throat. See the picture
below. The mic should sit level with your Adam's Apple. Sitting the mic to low will reduce clarity.
4. Make sure the throat mic plug
is fully inserted into the radio.
5. The mic may not be sitting
flush against the skin. To tighten the neck ring,
hold both ends of the metal neck ring and twist to make
a smaller circle. (See the picture below left).
Others may also need to bend the mic end for a flush
contact. Hold the mic as shown in the picture in
the bottom right. Be sure to hold the ring and not the mic cover.
